Emerald Coast Security Agency is a small local family-owned and veteran-operated private security agency that was founded in 2022. Security Officers are our most valuable asset. Our Security Officers are responsible for monitoring and conducting foot patrols within Residential Associations, Hospitality, and Special Event locations. If you have a great work ethic, are a fast learner, and can work independently we would like to talk to you.

 

A Class D Security Officer is an individual who currently holds an active Class D (Unarmed) Security Officer License or Blue Card issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services

 

 

Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

Our clients rely on us to protect and secure their assets by providing the most professional service possible. To achieve that goal our Security Officers are required to perform some basic duties while on duty in addition to site-specific instruction.

  • Presents losses and damages by reporting irregularities and informing violators of the client’s policy and procedures.

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, and monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.

  • Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.

  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

  • Interview witnesses and obtain signatures as needed.

  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

  • Maintains the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.

  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

 

Work Hours:

The expected work hours of a Security Officer depend on the type of client and the shift. Some security officers are required to work daytime shifts, while others need to ensure security at night.

 

 

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged times while on duty.

  • Communication Skills

  • Be punctual to shift

  • Maintain a professional appearance

  • Stay alert during your shift

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must have an active Class D (Unarmed) Security Officer License or Blue Card issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services

  • Clean Background Check

  • Dependable Transportation

  • Smartphone with active service to perform required tasks while on duty 

 

State Registration and Training:

The applicant is responsible for all fees associated with training and licensure.
